Check Your Ego at the Door

July 4th Hero WOD aftermath

If CrossFit is not working for you chances are it is you who are not giving yourself realistic expectations and goals. One of the first things posted when you walk into Outpost is Rule #1. Check your Ego at the door. Don’t come in believing you are going to or HAVE to do every workout Rx’d, without difficulty, or like you’ve CrossFitted for years. If you just started out, approach each class as a multiple course meal of learning. And you are going to gobble it all up. One. Bite. At. A. Time.

“if you build a good foundation, do the exercises correctly, and don’t do too much too soon, you’ll greatly reduce the risk of injury—the same as with any other sport.” – Appetite for Health
