True Heros

This weekend many of you participated in a WOD honoring the nineteen members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots firefighting team that tragically lost their lives on June 30, 2013 while fighting a fire in Yarnell, AZ.  If you didn’t make the time to WOD but would like to help, you can make a donation to their families here.

Hero WOD’s are designed to help us keep things in perspective.  Our PR’s, placement in competitions and blood sweat and tears shed during CrossFit are hardly comparable to those that place themselves in harm’s way to protect and save others. Make no mistake, you’re bad-ass, but it’s very important to recognize the true heros that make it possible for all of us to work on becoming stronger every day.
