Week one has revealed to many of you that you’re much stronger than you thought you were. Every one of our Outpost Athletes competing in The Open PR’d in 15.1 and 15.1a, and most of you blew away your previous 1 rep maxes by 10 or more. Would you have done that if it were just another day at the box? What drove you to put in the extra effort, to push yourself, to achieve more than ever before? It’s simple: your mind. Knowing the limits of your past performances can limit your mindset as well. The truth is, 1 rep maxes are either theoretical mathematical estimates, or real world output for the exact circumstances on one particular day. Drill your skill and technique. Find your ultimate potential every day, for every day it will be different. Let The Open teach you this valuable lesson: you are capable of much more than you previously believed. Now apply it.
